Here is an outline of the formation and roles and responsibilities for each of these positions in Sahayata Welfare Trust. This structure can help in defining leadership, accountability, and operational management.

Trustees

A trust is managed and operated by trustees, each having specific roles and responsibilities to ensure the trust functions efficiently and achieves its objectives. And generally appointed by the founders or the Governing Body. Below are the different designations and their respective responsibilities, for leading all strategic and operational aspects.  

Chairman

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define the trust’s policies and strategic direction.
  • Preside over trust meetings.
  • Coordinate with other organizations, government agencies, and donors.
  • Supervise the trust’s plans and activities.

Vice Chairman

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Chairman in their absence.
  • Assist in the smooth functioning of the trust.
  • Oversee various projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to financial and administrative activities of the trust.

General Secretary

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Handle the day-to-day operations of the trust.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for meetings.
  • Maintain legal documents and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with government departments and other institutions.

Treasurer

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial aspects of the trust.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure proper utilization of funds.
  • Maintain financial records, bank accounts, and audit reports.
  • Oversee fundraising and grant acquisition for the trust.

CEO

Powers & Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the policies and decisions set by the Board.
  • Managing the NGO’s daily operations.
  • Leading employees and volunteers.
  • Coordinating with external organizations, government agencies, and donors.

HR & Admin Manager

Powers & Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, and managing employees and volunteers.
  • Implementing organization policies and rules.
  • Supervising administrative tasks.
  • Addressing employee concerns and grievances.

Public Relations & Communications Manager

Powers & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the NGO’s image and publicity strategies.
  • Handling social media, websites, and other outreach platforms.
  • Preparing press releases and coordinating with the media.
  • Maintaining relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Fundraising & Donor Relations Manager

Powers & Responsibilities:

  • Developing strategies for donations and grants.
  • Connecting with potential donors and corporate partners.
  • Organizing fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Providing regular updates and reports to donors.

Legal & Compliance Officer

Powers & Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing legal documents and registrations of the NGO.
  • Ensuring compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • Handling legal disputes and contracts.
  • Maintaining communication with government agencies.

Program Manager

Powers & Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and executing NGO projects and programs.
  • Planning initiatives and preparing progress reports.
  • Ensuring funds and resources for programs.
  • Providing guidance to team members.

Field Coordinator

Volunteer Coordinator

Advisory Members
